USAA Internship trip

Well this weekend I got a free trip to San Antonio, TX. Wow!! It was such an eye opener! I flew in Thursday night and we drove around the city and saw the riverwalk, the Alamo and finnished it off with dinner at Rosario's. Yummy! I missed this real Texas mexican food. We then went back to the hotel and slept. The next day, Friday, we spent at USAA learning about them and Interviewing with management. It was so great to see a company like USAA. Here are some great things they offer as an employee:

Well thats just a few. The IT department at USAA has sooooo many things available!!! I have 2 full pages of great things, not just junk. On top of it all, they just care so much about their employees. Its such a big difference from any company I've ever worked for!! All employees I've talked to have said the same thing :) And they have been trying out some new fun things when it comes to project teams in the company. They moved an entired department (Project Delivery) to something called "Future Workplace" . All Employess dont have an assigned desk, they can sit anywhere, all desks have the same 22" screen available to plug into a laptop and they have alot of tables all over to work together and alot of resources, all kinds of things. Too much to write here. But the employees we talked to loved it soo much, alot more than the way they used to do it. I love how they keep trying new things and evaluating it to see how it works. They seem to be an extremely active company. USAA Internship should be something that will provide may opportunities.

Well the USAA Internship Interview trip was amazing. I cant wait to go to USAA, I really hope they pick me for the internship. If not I'll probably try again later :)
