XHTML 2 vs. XHTML 5

There are a few things that I like about both of them but overall it looks like I think I would choose XHTML 2.  They have some new interesting stuff. I do like the ability to section headings, this is particularly good for accessibility. There is also a new nl attribute that would encompass navigation links on the page. These all help with accessibility and also provide a way for us to section parts of the website better. This would also standardize a lot of what we see on web pages. This would allow 3rd party programs to integrate with web pages better. XHTML 2 also is more of a closed project to the outside world. Some don’t like this idea but personally I like it because I have used languages where they have tried to please everyone, and it just turns out to be a large mess with things plastered everywhere and many exceptions. This is not what we need any more on the internet.  I would vote XHTML 2.
